Academic Programs Overview

All Lake College certificates have been approved by the State of California BPPVE and BVNPT and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The Certificate of Completion indicates that the student has achieved the competencies and acquired the skills designated in the curriculum which prepares the student for entry-level employment in the target field.

Academic Calendar

Lake College operates on a year around calendar system. Each semester is 16-weeks in length, and semesters begin approximately every eight weeks.

Full-Time Schedule

Full-time students beginning a certificate program must be prepared to make a commitment to full-time study for the duration of the program. This means that students should plan to be on campus Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with some programs requiring occasional attendance on Saturdays.

Part-Time Schedule

Part-time students should plan to be on campus Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:30pm, with some programs requiring occasional attendance on Saturdays.
